Iranian specialists have to re-learn how to control S-300
Since Russia will not supply the S-300PMU anti-aircraft missile system to Iran, but an upgraded version of it – the Antey-2500 – Iranian specialists will have to undergo additional training for controlling it. Informed sources said.
"Following the signing of the first contract for the supply of S-300, a team of Iranian military experts was sent to Russia, they were trained and received permission to operate this system. Now they will have re-learn again because the air defense missile system Antey-2500 is significantly different from the S-300," Interfax quoted him as saying.
The source pointed out that for this they will need both time and financial costs, despite the fact that Tehran seeks to obtain and begin using the Antey-2500 as soon as possible.
