Karapetyan elected first deputy chairman of ruling party
Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan was elected the first deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia and the head of the political committee, the Vice-speaker of the National Assembly, Eduard Sharmazanov, said.
He said that the new board of the Republican Part of Armenia consists of 35 members, ARKA reports.
Other deputy chairmen are Mushegh Lalayan, Galust Sahakyan and Armen Ashotyan. The speaker at the National Assembly, Galust Sahakyan, was elected as chairman of the council of elders.
