Kazakh satellite fixed
The KazSat-2 space satellite's work was resumed after Kazakhstan has been plunged into partial TV darkness with the apparent failure of the satellite, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Defence and Aerospace Industries said.
"An emergency situation related to the KazSat-2 space satellite was reported at 08:22 on 31 March. As much as 13 Kazakhstan’s television and communication operators suspended broadcasting due to incident with the telecommunications satellite KazSat-2," Kazakh Defense and Aerospace Industry Ministry said in a message.
"Specialists from the republic’s centre of space communications are currently carrying out measures to return the operation of the satellite and the work of networks of communications operators and television and radio broadcasters back to a normal situation as soon as possible," Advanced Television cited the report as saying.
