Kazakhstan bars entry for Iranians over coronavirus

Kazakhstan will bar Iranian nationals from entering the Central Asian country starting from March 5, as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Kazakh Foreign Minister Muhtar Tleuberdi said.

The government will also decrease the number of flights to and from Azerbaijan and suspend the issuance of work permits to citizens of countries hit by the virus, the minister said at a government meeting on Monday.

The Almaty-Baku flights are reduced to one. Aktau-Baku flight is cut from 7 to one, AKIpress reported.
