Kremlin: Putin ready for talks with Trump
Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready for contacts with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on Washington's decision to cancel the presidents' meeting scheduled for December 1 on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina.
"We regret the US administration’s decision to cancel the planned meeting between the two presidents in Buenos Aires," Peskov said.
"This means that a discussion on important issues on the bilateral and international agenda is being postponed indefinitely," TASS cited the spokesman as saying.
U.S. President Donald Trump wrote in a Twitter post yesterday evening that he decided to cancel a bilateral meeting with the Russian president on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Buenos Aires due to the recent incident in the Kerch Strait.
