Kremlin explains how they protect Putin from coronavirus
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that regular prophylactic measures are used to protect Russian President Vladimir Putin from contracting the novel coronavirus.
"We are doing everything necessary to avoid the coronavirus infection reaching the president," TASS cited the spokesman as saying.
According to Peskov, these are regular preventive hygienic measures that can be applied by any Russian citizen," Peskov said.
According to Chinese authorities, over 80,000 people have been infected with the virus in China. The death toll is nearing 3,000, while about 50,000 patients have recovered. Cases of coronavirus have been reported in over 70 countries, including Russia. The largest outbreaks of COVID-19 outside of China have been detected in South Korea, Iran and Italy.
