Lavrov and Kerry hold talks in Moscow
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the US Secretary of State John Kerry held talks in Moscow.
At the beginning of the meeting the US diplomat congratulated his counterpart on his birthday. "I would like to congratulate you on your birthday, I hope that this date would bring you more wisdom, including for holding negotiations," Interfax cited him as saying.
"Thank you, John. But if wisdom is measured by the number of birthdays, I can't catch up with you," 66-year-old Lavrov responded to 72-year-old Kerry.
Before the meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister said that he intends to discuss efforts of the international community to resolve the crisis in Ukraine. "We will talk about how the international community can assist in the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis," he said.
