Maria Sergeyeva wins all-around competitions at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku
Russian athlete Maria Sergeeva won the all-around competitions at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku. Sergeeva scored 69,050 points for four exercises (hoop - 19,200, ball - 17,250, clubs - 16,150, ribbon - 16,450).
The second place was taken by the representative of Ukraine, Vlada Nicolchenko, who scored 67,550 points (hoop - 16,900, ball - 16,750, clubs - 17,550, ribbon - 16,350). The third place was taken by Belarusian athlete Anastasiya Salos - 66,550 points (hoop - 17,450, ball - 16,900, clubs - 17,000, ribbon - 15,200).
Catherine Taseva (Bulgaria) became the 4th with 64,650 points. Then follows: Laura Zeng (USA) - 64,550 points; Ana Luiza Filiorianu (Romania) - 64.250; Kaho Minigawa (Japan) - 64.150; Milena Baldassari (Italy) - 64.000.
Russian Ekaterina Selezneva became the 11th (60,750). Veronica Godis from Azerbaijan (60.650 points) took the 12th place. Zohra Agamirova (Azerbaijan) became the 17th (59,750).
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries are participating in the tournament. Depending on the results of the qualification, the winners of all-around and the participants of the finals in individual apparatus in both types of programs will be determined. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
