Matviyenko: retirement age won't rise until 2020
There won't be an increase in the retirement age in Russia until 2020, the speaker of Russia’s Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, said.
"I think if such a decision is adopted, it won't happen before 2020. It should be a planned, gradual, slow process," Gazeta.ru cited her as saying.
She also said that the current retirement age was set back in 1932. "Life expectancy has increased over the years," the speaker of Russia’s Federation Council said.
