Moscow celebrates Tbilisoba
The day of the city of Tbilisi – Tbilisoba – will be celebrated for the fifth time in Moscow's Hermitage Garden on October 4.
The event will be organized by the 'Union of Georgians in Russia' with the support of the Moscow government. Vestnik Kavkaza is its informational partner.
A fun and interesting program awaits visitors to the Hermitage Garden, thanks to which everyone can dive into the sincere atmosphere of the Georgian capital for one day during the celebration of Tbilisoba.
In this year's festival, the legendary mineral water Borjomi is going to celebrate its 125th anniversary in a big way. In honor of this event, a photography exhibition 'Legends of Borjomi' will take place near the monument 'Heart' in the Hermitage garden, it tells about the history of the mineral water source since its discovery.
National cuisine is an integral attribute of any Georgian event. The summer stage, with the support of the Borjomi company, will hold master classes by chefs of the best Georgian restaurants in Moscow: guests will not only taste the famous khinkali, khachapuri and other dishes from different parts of Georgia, but also prepare dishes themselves.
True wine lovers will be able to learn how to crush grapes in a wooden winepress specially made for the celebration 'Tbilisoba in Moscow.' For dessert, guests will learn the secret of making delicious churchkhelas and pelamushi.
Younger guests of the festival will not be left without attention – specifically for them, throughout the holiday, entertaining master classes from the children's city of masters 'Masterslavl' will be held.
Art lovers are invited to the vernissage, where the works of Georgian artists, as well as a photography exhibition 'Georgia is My Love', will be presented. During the festival, at the fair, visitors will be able to purchase souvenirs, homemade crafts, tableware, home furnishings, clothes and jewelry, specially brought from Georgia.
