Netanyahu refuses to receive Syrian refugees
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to shelter Syrian refugees in the country and noted Israel's readiness to reinforce the borders with its neighboring states in order to prevent terrorism and illegal migration.
Netanyahu countered reproaches of indifference by claiming that Israel has already provided care for about a thousand Syrians who were wounded during the civil war.
The Israeli Prime Minister also stressed that Israel is a small country, which has neither demographic nor geographic depth.
"Therefore, we must control our borders, protecting them both from illegal immigrants and terrorists,’’ RIA Novosti cites him as saying.
