New COVID-19 vaccine to be introduced in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the fourth coronavirus vaccine will be soon introduced in the country.
"We were quite fast in developing our own three effective vaccines against the coronavirus infection," the Kommersant newspaper cited the Russian leader as saying.
According to him, immunization of the population is gaining momentum.
Vladimir Putin also noted that Russia is interested in cooperating with foreign partners in the fight against the pandemic.
Three vaccines against COVID-19 have been registered in the Russian Federation so far. They are Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and CoviVac.
On May 12, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that more than 24 million people in Russia had received their coronavirus jab.
