Over 25,000 cases of new COVID-19 infection detected in Russia
The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Russia over the past 24 hours has increased by 25,173, bringing the total to 2,114,502, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Monday.
This is the new record high number of infections in the country. The previous record high of 24,822 detected daily cases was documented on Saturday, November 21.
In particular, 6866 cases were recorded in Moscow, 2926 in St. Petersburg , 971 in the Moscow Region, 224 in Crimea, 224 in Stavropol Krai, 173 in Krasnodar Krai, 99 in Dagestan.
According to the crisis center, the daily growth rate is 1.2%.
The number of coronavirus recoveries over the past 24 hours has increased by 3,420 to 653,593, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Monday. Having recovered, 842 patients were discharged in Moscow, 206 - in the Khabarovsk Region, 205 - in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, 197 - in the Moscow Region, and 147 - in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region in one day.
The number of people in Moscow who have recovered from COVID-19 grew by 5,064 in the past 24 hours, by 16,002 - in Russia. The total number of recoveries in Russia has climbed to 1, 611,445.
Russia’s COVID-19 death toll grew by 361 in the past 24 hours, bringing total fatalities to 36 540, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported.
