Pashinyan to resign on the night of January 1 - report
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan may announce his resignation in the New Year message on December 31, the Hraparak newspaper writes.
"Pashinyan will announce his resignation and the holding of early parliamentary elections addressing the nation on December 31," the newspaper explains, citing its own sources.
There is no official confirmation or denial of this information yet.
On December 13, the Prime Minister's spokeswoman Mane Gevorgyan denied reports about Pashinyan's resignation. "Messages on Telegram channels regarding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan are disinformation," TASS cited her as saying.
The prime minister himself has repeatedly, despite the opposition's protests, said the only way he can surrender his status is as a result of people's will, thus holding elections in the country.
