Polad Bulbuloglu: Youth of Russia and Azerbaijan strengthen old friendship on new basis
The 6th Forum of the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia "AYOR: For the worthy future for young people", held today in Moscow at the World Trade Center, demonstrated that today the traditionally strong ties between Russia and Azerbaijan can develop on a new basis and in new directions because of the actions of young people of both countries. This was told to Vestnik Kavkaz on the sidelines of the events by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu.
"In the speeches, ideas were expressed that Azerbaijan and Russia are close countries, close peoples who have historically proven their closeness. And today it is as if there is a new community of people which has a new basis, new platforms to continue communication,’’ he said.
The diplomat also praised the importance of the forum and its level. "Carrying out the 6th Forum is a milestone in the life of the youth organization. The representatives of those who live in the regions and on the vast territory of Russia, and those who live in Moscow gathered at the event,’’ Bulbuloglu noted.
"Today there were very interesting presentations. The Vice-Speaker of the State Duma and the vice-speakers of the Federation Council, chairmen of the committees of the State Duma, representatives of the Moscow authorities, representatives of the Russian president, rectors, our ministers. So the level of performance was very high," the ambassador said.
The diplomat noted that the forum has become a wonderful testament to the level of not only the organization of the event itself, but also of the youth that participated in it. "But I was pleased not only with the level of the performance, but with the reaction of the audience to them. That is, the level of the young people who participate in these forums is increasing. This is not good. Of course, we are talking of young people, when today in this difficult problematic time they need to be careful, they have to study hard, they have to win their place in life," he said.
"I believe that the forum was a success, I think it is a very important milestone in the life of the youth organization. And we wish a great success for young people,’’ Polad Bulbuloglu concluded.
The Rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University, the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yefim Pivovar, also noted qualitative improvements in the forum. "Of course, this is a very important event. It is the sixth forum, the movement has strengthened, the number of participants is increasing, and it is visible to everyone, the program becomes more and more diverse," he explained.
In addition, the rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University pointed to the importance of the Forum for the development of relations between the two countries in the educational sphere, and for the strengthening of Russian-Azerbaijani friendship.
