Police evacuate residents of Sochi

The employees of the Ministry of Interior of Russia are rescuing flood victims in Sochi, the press service of the State Ministry of Internal Affairs of Krasnodar Territory said.

"35 people, including six children, were evacuated from the flooded vehicles," Interfax cited the ministry as saying.

In addition, the evacuation of people from flooded homes through windows was organized. Six children and nine adults were rescued from kindergarten № 53. The police also evacuated residents. More than 40 people were evacuated from flooded houses on Gastello Street in the Adler district.

25 people were also evacuated from the zone of flooding in the village of Dagomys.
