Policemen fight in Vani restaurant
Three officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia started a fight in one of the restaurants in the city of Vani (Imereti region), the media report.
At the moment, the powers of all parties to the conflict are suspended. The General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs establishes the details of the incident, checking whether the police officers have exceeded their official powers, Sputnik-Georgia reports.
A criminal case is opened under the article ‘Violence’. The punishment under this article is either a fine, community work for a period of 120 to 180 hours, house arrest for a period of six months to a year, or imprisonment for a term of up to 1 year.
