Polina Berezina: there's cozy and pleasant atmosphere at Baku competitions
Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation and Baku audience create the necessary conditions to ensure cozy and pleasant atmosphere at the competitions, Spanish gymnast Polina Berezina said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after the qualification round with hoop and ball routines.
"It's my first time in Baku, and I really liked the city, and the arena was just great - it's so beautiful," she said in the first place.
The Spanish gymnast stressed that the work of the AGF can only be appreciated. "Thanks to the work of the organizers, there's very cozy and pleasant atmosphere at the competitions in Baku. And the audience supports everyone who enters the arena, it helps us to perform," Polina Berezina drew attention.
"My goal in Baku is to do my job well, perform like during my training, after which everything will depend on the judges and rivals. But I will note that my main rival in this tournament is me myself. First of all, one needs to overcome oneself to become better," the athlete concluded.
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries are participating in the tournament. Depending on the results of the qualification, the winners of all-around and the participants of the finals in individual apparatus in both types of programs will be determined. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
