Putin and Medvedev congratulate Mehriban Aliyeva on her birthday
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva on her birthday.
The Russian leader noted that Mehriban Aliyeva has gained well-deserved respect both among compatriots and in the international arena thanks to her activities.
"We know you as a true friend of Russia, a fundamental supporter of strengthening strategic partnership relations between our states. I am confident that these relations will be fruitfully developed in the future for the benefit of the Russian and Azerbaijani peoples, in the interest of strengthening regional stability and security," Putin’s congratulatory message says, according to the official website of the Azerbaijani President.
Putin also wished Mehriban Aliyeva health, happiness and professional success.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also congratulated the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan. "I would like to emphasize your significant role in solving the large-scale socio-economic problems facing friendly Azerbaijan. Your active participation in promoting major international cultural and humanitarian initiatives within the UN and UNESCO inspires respect," Medvedev said.
The Russian prime minister also expressed confidence that the further implementation of joint projects will further strengthen friendly relations between Russia and Azerbaijan.
