Putin congratulates Pashinyan on his appointment as prime minister
Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a telegram of congratulations to Nikol Pashinyan appointed as Armenian Prime Minister, the Kremlin press service reported.
The Russian president noted that relations between Russia and Armenia are based on good traditions of friendship and mutual respect, and the countries have accumulated substantial experience of productive cooperation on different trajectories.
Putin expects that "dialogue and constructive teamwork will help to further strengthen Russian-Armenian allied cooperation as well as to advance integration processes in the Eurasian space," the Kremlin press service reported.
The Russian president stressed that "this undoubtedly meets the interests of our fraternal peoples."
