Renovated Orbeliani Square opens in Tbilisi
Orbeliani Square was opened by top Georgian officials late yesterday, after its renovation was officially completed.
The renovation of Orbeliani Square launched in June 2017, and the square and adjacent streets were fully renovated.
20 buildings have been restored, communication networks fully changed. An underground parking lot has been made on for 170 cars. A pavilion will be arranged for the open flower market and trees have been planted.
The opening ceremony was attended by Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, as well as President Salome Zurabishvili.
The cost of the project stood at about $31 million, Agenda.ge reported.
