Representative of Azeri community in Stockholm rescues woman from armed criminal
A Swedish police officer of Azerbaijani origin, an Azerbaijani community activist in Stockholm Rufat Mirzaev, has recently rescued a woman from an armed criminal.
According to Stockholm Direkt, while on duty Mirzayev saw a man at a bus stop who threatened to kill a woman, swinging a pistol. Being unarmed, the policeman called the police and then tried to calm the armed citizen down. The criminal understood that the police were on their way and first tried to escape, but then pointed the gun at Mirzaev.
The policeman disarmed the criminal, and when the criminal tried escape he overtook him at the entrance to the subway. It turned out that the pistol was pneumatic.
