Rouhani: Iran committed to JCPOA until it benefits from it

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said at the meeting with the Director-General of International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano, that Tehran is committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) until it benefits from it.

Rouhani noted that Iran was ready to develop cooperation with IAEA within the framework of Agency's safeguards, international regulations and the JCPOA.

"Iran will never be the first country to exit the JCPOA. We will adhere to the JCPOA until the time we are able to gain benefits stated in it," ISNA cited the President as saying.

At the meeting, Yukiya Amano acknowledged Iran's commitment to the JCPOA and emphasized the need to support Iran's research projects and development of cooperation between Iran and the Agency in different sectors.
