Russia ready to ban tomato import from Armenia
Armenia received a warning from the Rosselkhoznadzor about a possible ban on tomato imports.
Pepino mosaic virus was found in Armenian tomatoes, which is dangerous for many vegetables.
"The Pepino mosaic virus was detected in the batch of tomatoes that arrived in Russia from Armenia. In this regard, the department warned Yerevan about a possible ban on the import of these vegetables," the Rosselkhoznadzor press service reported, RBC informs.
Imports from Armenia will be banned by Russia if the virus is re-detected in vegetables.
