Russia reports 6,196 new COVID-19 cases
Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 6,196 in the past day reaching 1,109,595, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Monday.
According to its data, in the past two days the daily growth rate did not exceed 0.6%.
Moscow identified 915 new cases of coronavirus in a single day, the highest number since June 23, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Monday.
The daily increase stands at 0.3%, while 860 new cases were reported in the city yesterday.
In the past 24 hours, 988 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 12 people died.
Overall, 277,408 people contracted the virus in Moscow, 237,935 of them recovered, while 5,096 died. Currently, there are 34,404 active cases in the Russian capital.
The number of COVID-19 fatalities in Russia over the past 24 hours increased by 71, pushing the total to 19,489.
The number of coronavirus patients discharged over the past 24 hours in Russia has increased by 2,616, bringing the total to 911,973, TASS reported.
