Russia updates National Security Strategy
Today Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving the new National Security Strategy.
The document, prepared by the Russian Security Council, establishes the ways to combat terrorism and radicalism.
The strategy also notes that external forces oppose an independent Russian policy.
"The strengthening of Russia occurs against the background of new threats to national security, with a complex interrelated character. Implementation of independent foreign and domestic policies by the Russian Federation is opposed by the US and its allies, which are seeking to maintain their dominance in world affairs," the document reads.
