Russia urges U.S. to show restraint towards Iran
Moscow calls on Washington to weigh the possible consequences of conflict with Iran, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, noting that the situation is extremely dangerous.
"Judging by available information, the situation is clearly very dangerous. I would say it is like being on the brink of war," TASS cited the diplomat as saying.
U.S. President Donald Trump approved military strikes against Iran in retaliation for the downing of a U.S. surveillance drone, but called off the attacks at the last minute, the New York Times report said.
