Russia will update education system
''Today the country's leadership, both federal and regional, pays great attention to education,'' the Russian President's plenipotentiary representative in the North Caucasus Federal District Sergey Melikov said in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after a meeting of the State Council dedicated to the improvement of education in the Russian Federation. "There are no indifferent people today among members of the State Council on this issue," he underlined.
"Vladimir Putin stressed that education and health are two main things that need constant monitoring and continuous improvement,'' Sergey Malikov said.
According to him, the correct conclusion on the results of the meeting was the fact that ''attention was paid at all levels of the education system." "You can support one or another position, but it is important that there are no indifferent people now, at least among the members of the State Council,'' the Russian President's plenipotentiary representative in the North Caucasus Federal District said.
The head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdullatipov, said in turn said that a qualitative analysis of the whole educational system was presented at the meeting. "The most important and most promising part of the President's speech, in my opinion, was the necessity to create a qualitatively new educational environment. We won't succeed in it if the environment does not encourage people to receive knowledge, a profession, as well as not just to teach, but force people to make,'' he pointed out.
Ramadan Abdullatipov stressed that the prestige of teachers may be increased due to high quality and diligent work. "Ultimately, the prestige of the teacher is determined by the students. If a student thinks that he has received a mentor for his whole life, it means that the prestige of the teacher will be provided until the end of life. We all had such teachers. If not, it can be done only artificially," the head of Dagestan said.
He also drew his attention to the necessity of ideological disciple. ''It is a fundamental issue and a problem that should be solved,'' Ramadan Abdullatipov concluded.
