Russian and France call on launching talks on Syria as soon as possible
Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met yesterday with director of the Private Office of the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Emmanuel Bonne. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of France to Russia Sylvie-Agnes Bermann.
During the meeting, the officials laid emphasis on a package of issues related to settlement of the Syrian crisis, including humanitarian relief for the Syrian population, the press release of the Russian foreign Ministry said.
In addition, Bogdanov and Bonne stressed the need to launch as soon as possible inclusive inter-Syrian negotiations based on UN Security Council Resolution 2254. The sides reaffirmed the commitments by Russia and France to the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
