Safa Uslu: Azerbaijan and Turkey are good partners
Baku and Ankara are good partners, the Director General of Foreign Relations and International Projects at Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Safa Uslu, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza on the sidelines of the International Conference titled "Russia and Turkey: Forging Multidimensional Partnership,' organised by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC).
"We have historic friendship between the societies, the nations, and the countries. So we are contributing our economy to each other so far. The roots of friendship and relations come from history. It is growing," he stressed.
Safa Uslu recalled that on October 19, the Star oil refinery was opened in Izmir, which, according to him, will be a huge contribution to the Turkish economy and Turkish refinery, in terms of petroleum chemicals as well.
The Director General of Foreign Relations and International Projects at Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources stressed that Azerbaijan and Turkey have a lot of common projects. "If you ask me specifically on energy, we have TANAP project. And I’m sure we will have a lot of examples in the future as well. These are all strategic partnership examples and it’s growing, the trend is going high," Safa Uslu concluded.
