Sakrebulo and parliamentary by-elections in Georgia to be held on one day
Sakrebulo and parliamentary by-elections will be held in Georgia on May 19, the corresponding desision was made at Georgia's Central Election Commission meeting.
The by-elections will be held because the former majoritarian representative, Salome Zurabishvili, was elected as Georgia's fifth President, Agenda.ge reported.
March 23 is the deadline for political parties or initiative groups to apply to the CEC to register their candidates. However, initiative groups need to provide the signature of at least 439 voters.
The organisations and media outlets that want to observe and cover the election process can also apply to the CEC for accreditation.
