Shoigu: US conceptual documents enshrine anti-Russian nature of US air defense
The United States has officially stated in its documents that the country's air defense systems are aimed against Russia, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Wednesday, Urdu Point reports.
"Following the US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, it became obvious that development of this type of weapons was aimed at undermining the deterrence potential of Russia and China.
Our partners categorically denied this at numerous negotiations," Shoigu said at the Moscow Security Conference.
"However, the US conceptual documents officially enshrine the anti-Russian nature of the air defense," the minister added.
According to Shoigu, no air defense systems are 100 percent impenetrable.
"The ways to get through air defense can be developed and put into service within a short time. Russia has done it," the minister said.
