Shoigu visits Russia’s military base in Tajikistan
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited Russia’s 201 military base in Tajikistan.
The minister was reported in equipping the Russian military base with new weaponry.
Besides, Shoigu met with Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon and Tajik Defense Minister Mirzo Sherali, TASS reported.
Russia’s 201 military base is the largest one outside the country. It is located in two cities - the capital Dushanbe and Bokhtar in the country’s southwest. According to an agreement, signed in October 2012, Russian servicemen will stay in the country at least until 2042.
