Six suspected terrorists arrested in Iran's Khorasan Razavi
Iran's security forces arrested six more people suspected of having ties to the ISIS terrorist group in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, the deputy prosecutor general of Mashhad, Hassan Heydari, said.
He noted that the number of suspected ISIS members arrested in the province over the past days has risen to 27.
"Intelligence forces expanded their investigation in the cities of Khorasan Razavi Province hunting for clues and have detained more suspects in recent days," he added.
Earlier, Heydari had announced the arrest of 21 ISIS terrorists in Mashhad. He noted that the detainees, including Iranian and Afghan nationals, had planned to carry out different operations in Iran, including suicide attacks, Tasnim News Agency reported.
