Steinmeier pays official visit to Georgia
German President Frank Walter Steinmeier has arrived in Tbilisi yesterday. He was welcomed by Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani at Tbilisi International Airport.
Accompanied by his wife Elke Budenbender, Steinmeier is paying an official visit to Georgia for the first time as a President. He earlier visited the country in 2016 when he served as the German Foreign Minister, Agenda.ge reported.
During his visit on October 6-8, Steinmeier will meet with President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze and Orthodox Patriarch Ilia II.
