The October Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union will be a historic event, Kosachev says.
The next Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which is scheduled for October, will be a historic event, as the Russian side has prepared the series of initiatives, the head of the Federation Council's international affairs committee and the deputy chairman of the IPU, Konstantin Kosachev said.
He noted that at the moment the both houses of the Russian parliament are working both on the organization and content of the planned assembly.
"We will make every effort to make this Assembly a historic one. And we have already several ideas,’’ Kosachev assured.
The senator said that the Russian side already has three to five ideas, but ‘’he would love there to be some intrigue."
