Tokayev: Kazakh land plots not to be sold to foreigners
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev speaking about the norms of the Land Code at the extended government session today said the land plots will not be sold to foreigners.
"We should strengthen control over the effectiveness of using agricultural lands. The land belongs to those who work on it," Sputnik Kazakhstan cited him as saying.
According to the head of state, the Ministry of Agriculture started monitoring the rational land management.
Kazakhstan will complete a moratorium on some norms of the Land Code in 2021. Tokayev advised to take a decision on bans and lease of the agricultural lands.
