Turkey and Israel sign first agreement on restoration of relations
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu signed the first agreement on the restoration of diplomatic relations in Switzerland, the Vatan newspaper reports.
Israel will set up a compensation fund of $20 million for relatives of victims who died after Israeli naval commandos stormed the Mavi Marmara.
Under the agreement Turkey will expel a senior member of Hamas, Saleh al-Aruri, who killed three Israeli soldiers.
The deliberations on laying a gas pipeline from Israel to Turkey will also begin soon, APA reports.
