Turkey and Qatar to discuss situation in Middle East
Today, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, arrives in Turkey, where he will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The main topics of the talks will be the Syrian crisis, the situation in Iraq and Yemen, Trend reports.
Turkey is considering creating safe zones in Syria between the cities of Aleppo, Idlib and the Turkish border with the inclusion of the border towns of Kobani, Jarabulus and others.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu urged the UN to make a decision on the establishment of safe zones in Syria. The Syrian authorities, for their part, have repeatedly condemned this intention and said that Damascus strongly rejects the creation of buffer zones.
