Turkey limits imports of all Russian agricultural products
Turkish exporters decided to limit the import of all types of Russian agricultural products to 20-25% of the total volume of imports, the member of the Management Board of the Istanbul Association of Exporters Zekeriya Mete said.
"We have divided quotas between countries. We want to protect ourselves in case if we have problems with some country, so that we will not be left with nothing," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
Mete stressed that the decision was made by the Association of Exporters, not by the Ministry of Economy. "We decide, but the Ministry of Economy accepts or does not accept our decision," he explained, pointing out that such a decision has been made today, but it may change tomorrow, depending on the circumstances.
