Turkey orders 108 soldiers detained over Gulen links
Turkish prosecutors have issued detention warrants for 108 former security officials over alleged links to the U.S.-based cleric accused by Ankara of orchestrating last year’s attempted coup
60 former security officials were already arrested in a wide-scale operation, centred in Ankara and spread over 30 provinces, the Anadolu agency reported.
The suspects are believed to have ties to U.S-based cleric Fetullah Gulen, whom Ankara blames for orchestrating the failed coup in July 2016.
More than 50,000 people, including security officials, military personnel and civil servants, have been detained in the aftermath of the July 2016 coup.
