Turkey rejects Biden's statement about 1915 tragic events
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu immediately reacted to US President Joe Biden’s formulation of "Armenian genocide" in relation to the 1915 tragic events in the Ottoman Empire promoted by Armenian nationalists.
Cavusoglu stressed that Turkey completely rejects this statement, and described it as populist.
"Words cannot change or rewrite history. There is nothing in our history that we could learn from others. Political opportunism is the greatest betrayal of peace and justice," the Turkish Foreign Minister said.
