Turkey stops showing cowboy films - media
Turkey’s state broadcaster TRT has stopped showing cowboy films, which the channel has aired on Sundays since the 1980s.
Instead of Westerns, TRT said it plans to broadcast Turkish movies.
The decision was taken in response to the current crisis between the United States and Turkey, which has seen the United States demand the release of citizens held in Turkey, the imposition of sanctions on two Turkish ministers and added tariffs on metal imports from Turkey. Turkey has responded with largely reciprocal measures.
