Turkish Defense Ministry: Peace Spring continues as planned
Operations in northern Syria are continuing "successfully" today, Turkish Defense Ministry reported.
"Peace Spring Operation was successfully carried out by air and land during the night. The targets set were achieved. Operation continues successfully as planned," the Turkish Ministry of Defense said in a post on Twitter this morning.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey has launched its military operation against Kurdish militias and the ISIS (the terrorist group banned in Russia) into northeastern Syria. The Turkish army has hit a total of 181 militant targets with air strikes and howitzers since the start of operation into northeast Syria, according to the Turkish defense ministry.
