Turkish football player fined for threatening linesman
Istanbul Basaksehir have decided to fine its midfielder Arda Turan 250,000 euros after he threatened an official during the Turkish SuperLig game between Turan's Basaksehir and Sivasspor.
Turan was hit also with a 16-match ban, Marca reported.
The Turkish FA acted by giving him a ban and a fine of 7,700 euros, but his club have decided to take action too by fining him further.
The 31-year-old is currently on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir from Barcelona and he has a loan deal until 2020.
