Turkish police detain 22 terrorists in Istanbul
Istanbul police detained at least 22 ISIS-linked terrorist suspects, according to a statement released by the Governor's Office.
The suspects were detained in Ümraniye, Başakşehir, Beykoz, Gaziosmanpaşa, Kadıköy, Maltepe, Üsküdar, Pendik and Sancaktepe districts.
The suspects had been organizing gatherings to spread the propaganda of ISIS terrorists, collect funds for their families and to recruit new members. They had also been making plans to bring new recruits to Syria.
Police confiscated documents and materials promoting the terrorist group, Daily Sabah reported.
