Turkmen President and Georgian PM discuss development of bilateral relations
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who is on a state visit to Ashgabat, discussed the development of bilateral relations, as well as the participation of the countries in global transport projects.
During the talks, issues of trade, economic and regional cooperation were discussed. Berdimuhamedov and Kvirikashvili expressed their readiness to use the "huge trade potential" of the countries, as well as to intensify regional transport projects, Sputnik-Georgia reports.
In addition, the President of Turkmenistan invited Georgia's President and Prime Minister to the opening of the 5th Asian Games, which will be held in Ashgabat on September 17-27, 2017.
A meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation will also be held in Ashgabat today.
