U.S. to continue dialogue with Russia on North Korea
The United States will continue dialogue with Russia on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, a U.S. Department of State spokesperson said.
"We are aware of reports," the spokesperson said, commenting on the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un scheduled for April 25.
"The United States and the international community is committed to the same goal - the final, fully verified denuclearization of North Korea. It is Chairman Kim's commitment to denuclearization upon which the world is focused," TASS cited the spokesperson as saying.
"[Russian] Deputy Foreign Minister Morgulov and [US] Special Representative Biegun will continue their dialogue to bridge any gaps on the way forward," she added.
