UN: 33 people killed and 200 injured in Nagorno-Karabakh
At least 33 people were killed and more than 200 were injured during clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh, according to the report of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
"According to official sources, at least 30 soldiers and 3 civilians have died as a result of the fighting in Azerbaijan and Armenia," the document says. "The number of injured persons, both civilian and military, is yet to be confirmed by official sources. Unofficial sources estimated this number is more than 200," TASS cited the report as saying.
Recall, on the night of April 2 all frontier positions of Azerbaijan were exposed to heavy fire from large-caliber weapons, mortars, grenade launchers and guns. In addition, Azerbaijani settlements near the front line, densely populated by civilians, were shelled.
