US and Germany urge to shape new globalization
US President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel believes that they will never return to a pre-globalization economy, their joint article in the WirtschaftsWoche magazine says.
According to them, Germans and Americans must seize the opportunity to shape globalization based on their values and ideas.
The US-German partnership was essential to achieving a global agreement in Paris that offers the world a framework for protecting our planet, the article notes.
"We are stronger when we work together. At a time when the global economy is evolving more quickly than at any point in human history, and the scope of global challenges has never had higher stakes, such cooperation is now more urgent than ever," Obama and Merkel stressed.
